Top hall

The top hall features a three store view of the house as well as the skylight above.  The pictures on the wall are French Victorian trading cards I purchased on eBay.  This space is lit by 60 LED lights hidden in the skylight trim.

Middle hall

This room is done and has 2 angled walls with nieches in each that contain Limoge vases.  The right side wall is basically the same as the first floor but have different tapestries and urns than the first floor ones.  There is a hidden LED light under the floating staircase to the third floor that lights up the back wall.  The staircase landing has a fancy framed silk picture.

Reception hall

I finally finished the last section to the mansion which contains the reception hall, middle hall and top hall.  It houses the entrance doors and grand staircase with a 3 story mezzanine balcony with views of the massive skylight above.  The entranceway is lit by a LED light and has has Wall nieches on either side with reutter vases in each one it’s very hard to see in the small room but you can get a glimpse at certain angles.  The stair landing features another nieche with a Limoge vase.  The newel posts have tiny statues on the first 2 and the others have large finials.  The walls feature tapestry’s and the urns on the wall shelves will eventually contain flowers or greens.  Under the staircase you will see doors they are for a “ coat room” but are glued shut and do not really work or have anything behind them.

Structure assembled and starting to install stairs

I’ve been working on the structure and got it assembled and now I’m working on the staircase.  It’s the last thing I have to work out and should have it done in a few days.  The wall details are mostly done except for where the staircase is going I have to wait to finish the trim around it until it’s all installed and a few other things that still need trim.

Second staircase assembled

I have the core of both stairways complete but need to finish off the sides and bottoms yet but you can get an idea of what they will look like the bottom staircase will be totally inclosed and the top one will be a floating staircase and open to create a mezzanine of all three floors and the skylight above.  I’m finishing them outside the house as much as possible and will add the final trim pieces once installed.  I’m also adding a small room under the bottom staircase, it will either be a powder room or a coat room I’m still waiting to see the exact space before making a final decision.    I also included pictures of the walls, I have the doors and windows cut out and laid out the details I want to use but nothing is glued.  I painted the small nieche walls white to break up the busy wallpaper and the staircase will be mostly white with gold rails again to break up the space some it will all be finished next week hopefully and I can take all the furniture and stuff out  so I can move it from my work studio above our garage where everything has been built and assembled and is set up at this time, and put it in its permanent spot in my house and I can do any touch ups and final details and things from inside the house.   Even though it’s made from foam core it’s still very heavy empty due to all the castings on the walls and ceilings and the fireplaces and doorways.
